ComputerLand Buys Nynex Network: The computer retailer has agreed to acquire the nationwide network of Nynex Business Centers in exchange for cash and ComputerLand preferred stock, the companies said. The deal, expected to be completed by June 1, will mean the integration of the 77 Nynex Business Centers across the country with ComputerLand’s 400 outlets, which are involved in the sale, service and other support of microcomputing products, the companies said.
