Another School Gets Anti-Vandal Patrol
Danbrook Elementary School is the latest Anaheim school to institute weekend park ranger patrols in an effort to stem increases in graffiti and vandalism.
The patrols, unanimously approved by the Centralia School District board this week, will be similar to those now operating in the Anaheim City School District and at the Anaheim campuses in the Magnolia Elementary School District.
“There’s been a lot of graffiti and break-ins,” said Ruth Van Gilder, vice president of Danbrook’s Parent-Teacher Assn. “The graffiti is almost a monthly, if not weekly, occurrence.”
The board unanimously approved the patrols, which will start as a pilot program from Friday through June 30 and cost the district $2,561.
