Welcome Home, Troops: America’s armed forces are due for some star-filled salutes on all three networks. President Bush, Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney and celebrities will be at the Universal Amphitheatre on Friday to tape ABC’s “Welcome Home America--A USO Salute to America’s Sons and Daughters.” Lily Tomlin, the Pointer Sisters, Tom Selleck, Kenny Rogers and James Woods are set to participate in the show, which will air April 14 at 9 p.m. On Wednesday night at 8, CBS broadcasts a special live from Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland--”The All-Star Salute to Our Troops.” On Saturday, NBC will broadcast “Bob Hope’s Yellow Ribbon Party” at 9:30 p.m., featuring more than 200 members of a Marine battalion from Twentynine Palms.
