Kitchen Aid: A professional chef never has a spare moment. Between sampling soups, tossing salads, frying chicken and flipping burgers, a chef has no time to wait for the cream to thicken.
To the rescue rides Chefs Cream Inc., an Anaheim company that has developed a pre-thickened cream that can stay fresh without refrigeration. President James LaForte boasts that the product is “the only cream currently available in the United States that requires no refrigeration until opened.”
Except, perhaps, the kind that’s still in the the cow.
