Subscription sales for the Pacific Symphony’s 1990-91 season at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa increased by 7% from 1989-90, and individual ticket sales are up 15%, according to orchestra officials. For the nine-concert classical series, subscriptions went from 4,846 to 5,276. Sales for the Saturday morning family concert series rose from 4,167 to 4,692. The seven-concert pop series remained just about the same, at 4,635 from 4,638. The orchestra’s executive director, Louis G. Spisto, attributes the sales increases to the appointment of Carl St. Clair as music director in 1990. The season ends with concerts May 22 and 23.
