Call for Repeat Rapists’ Castration
It has always been my belief that “the punishment should fit the crime.” Assemblyman Ferguson’s bill to permit the castration of repeat rapists is pure justice (“O.C. Legislators Often Fatalistic as Bill-Writers,” March 24).
We are talking here about the lowest of the low, those who prey on vulnerable women and repeatedly violate them. Do they deserve the right to pursue a fulfilling and active sex life after they’ve left a lifetime of emotional, if not physical, scars on the women whom they have raped?
