Westinghouse Electric Corp.: The Pittsburgh conglomerate said its first-quarter income plunged 53% to $98 million, compared to 1990’s first quarter. Revenue eased 3% to $2.78 billion. The company said results in nearly all its divisions were down or flat, reflecting softness in the overall economy.
