New Firm to Run Pasadena’s Dial-A-Ride

Share

Mayflower Contract Services has been awarded a contract for $31,337 a month, amounting to about $130,000 for the rest of fiscal 1991, to run the city’s Dial-A-Ride transportation program.

The Martinez, Calif., company was named last week by the city directors from among five firms that submitted proposals. It will begin operations April 27.

Mayflower replaces Medi-Ride, a Glendale company that withdrew from Pasadena after it failed to receive a contract increase last year.

Mayflower will be paid $28.54 an hour to provide Dial-A-Ride, compared to the $33.26 an hour the city was paying Medi-Ride under a contract extension.
