Lite Light First to Beat Withallprobability
Southland-based Lite Light, ridden by Corey Nakatani, passed unbeaten Withallprobability on the far turn and won the $250,000 Fantasy Stakes by two lengths at Oaklawn Park Sunday.
Owned by the Oaktown Stable of rapper M.C. Hammer, the daughter of Majestic Light completed 1 1/16 miles in 1:41 4/5 on a good track and returned $3.80, $2.60 and $2.20 as the slight favorite in the field of eight 3-year-old fillies.
Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, Lite Light won for the sixth time in 13 starts and earned $150,000.
Nakatani sent Lite Light after the leader on the turn and was in front for the stretch run. From then on, it was a two-horse race.
Primarily Irish was fourth, followed by Pink Tomato, Chance To Dance, Oxford Screen and Silver Glitz.
Withallprobability, trained by Wayne Lukas, returned $2.40 and $2.40.
