Altadena : 8 Seek 7 Council Vacancies
Attention, candidates in the upcoming election for Town Council: Your odds look pretty good.
By the filing deadline Monday, eight residents had declared their candidacy for seven vacancies on the volunteer advisory council.
Candidates run by census tract. Unopposed incumbents are Leatrice Erlander in Tract 4602, Dr. Gene Coffman in Tract 4611 and Oscar Werner in Tract 4613. The other candidates are: Kathryn Klomburg and Michael W. Lavelle in Tract 4601; Steven S. Lamb, a current alternate member of the council, and Andre L. Hughes in Tract 4603, and Walter J. Martin, running unopposed in Tract 4610. No one is running in Tract 4612.
Polls will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 at five locations: Bank of America, 2345 N. Lake Ave.; Market Basket, 2270 N. Lake Ave.; Thrifty Drugs, 735 E. Altadena Drive; Barney’s Hardware, 2369 N. Lincoln Ave.; Crown Florist, 587 Altadena Drive, and Patticakes The Dessert Co., 1900 N. Allen Ave.
