The Ventura County Symphony League’s Design House ’91 will open Saturday, featuring the efforts of 20 interior designers and four landscape designers.

The 6,000-square-foot Santa Paula residence was built in 1910 and features 24 rooms with oak and Vermont slate floors. Commanding panoramic views over the Santa Clara Valley, the home is on 2 1/2 acres of grounds colored with flower gardens and graced by large oak, pine and palm trees. “Docents will provide tours through the house,” spokes%woman Betsy Chase said, “and they will answer historical and architectural questions for our visitors.”

The grounds will be available for service organizations to hold lunch meetings, Chase said.
