The Ventura County Symphony League's Design House '91 will open Saturday, featuring the efforts of 20 interior designers and four landscape designers.
The 6,000-square-foot Santa Paula residence was built in 1910 and features 24 rooms with oak and Vermont slate floors. Commanding panoramic views over the Santa Clara Valley, the home is on 2 1/2 acres of grounds colored with flower gardens and graced by large oak, pine and palm trees. "Docents will provide tours through the house," spokes%woman Betsy Chase said, "and they will answer historical and architectural questions for our visitors."
The grounds will be available for service organizations to hold lunch meetings, Chase said.
Viewing hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. The house, 301 Virginia Terrace, Santa Paula, will be open through May 26.
Proceeds will benefit the Ventura County Symphony. Admission is $12. For more information, call 643-8646.
