Lotus Development Corp.: The leading maker of spreadsheets for personal computers said first-quarter earnings totaled $6.6 million, down 71% from the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 5% to $174.4 million. The Cambridge, Mass., company cited the increased cost of expanding its product line, including development of a Windows-compatible version of its 1-2-3 program.
