The A’s bandit apparently struck again Friday afternoon, robbing his 27th bank since Feb. 5, the FBI reported.

The Grossmont Bank at 3802 Clairemont Mesa Boulevard was robbed at 12:19 p.m. by a 6-foot-tall white male in his early 20s. The robber wore blue jeans, a blue Paisley shirt and sunglasses, but not his trademark Oakland A’s baseball cap.

The brown-haired bandit gave the teller a note saying he had a weapon, which he never displayed.

“To have someone rob that many banks in such a short period . . . that’s unusual,” said FBI agent Jack Kelly.

Kelly said he could not disclose how much money the bandit took.
