A Rancho Bernardo man was killed late Monday night when he was ejected from his car after it rolled off the road, county medical examiner’s officials said.
David Michael Bentley, 18, a student at Palomar College, and a friend were southbound on Sycamore Canyon Road near Garden Road about 9:25 p.m. when Bentley went over the western edge of the road, according to Stan Berdan, an investigator with the medical examiner’s office.
The car rolled several times before stopping, officials said.
Bentley was pronounced dead at the scene, Berdan said.
The passenger, 18-year-old Christopher Lee Godfrey of Poway, was treated for minor injuries at Pomerado Hospital.
