There’s Irony in China, Taiwan Relationship
The article, “China, Taiwan Groping Toward Interdependence” (April 8), reported that Taiwanese capital is buying low-cost labor from mainland China. It is ironic that their rapprochement after more than 40 years of hostility is taking the very form of the relationship that divided them so violently in 1949.
