Henderson’s Stance
Never underestimate the ability of San Diego City Councilman Bruce Henderson to duck a tough issue. His latest cowardly act is a proposal to rescind the ban on alcohol on the beaches because of a recently submitted referendum on the issue. His counterproposal is to put the issue back on the ballot over a year from now.
The real truth is that Mr. Henderson doesn’t want to take a stand on this issue in September, when he is up for reelection.
