CYPRESS : Logo, Slogan for 25th Year Unveiled
The yearlong 25th-anniversary celebration of Cypress College will begin this summer.
College officials last week unveiled the official anniversary logo and slogan during the college’s annual Senior Day, a chance for local high school seniors to become familiar with the campus, its programs and services.
The logo, a blue and yellow “C” encircling the words “25th Anniversary,” was designed by Jay Huiberts, a Cypress student and graphic artist.
The slogan, “25 Years of Excellence in Education,” was suggested by David Weddington, a floor maintenance worker who has been employed by the college for six years. Weddington is a former Cypress student who is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Cypress College, in the North Orange County Community College District, serves Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Garden Grove, La Palma and Stanton.
