BASEBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJOR LEAGUES : Gregg on Disabled List, Smith Activated

The Atlanta Braves placed outfielder Tommy Gregg on the 15-day disabled list with a broken bone in his left hand. Gregg was injured last week when he was hit on the hand during batting practice. To replace Gregg, the Braves activated outfielder Lonnie Smith from the 15-day disabled list. Smith had been sidelined since spring training and had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee March 27.
