Missing Points on ‘Missing Link’

I was furious after reading “The Missing Link,” which portrayed women as consumers without judgment, particularly given growing sensibilities about the environment and the need to conserve and recycle.

I think hardware stores, which are about doing things for yourself, are far more interesting than endless displays of goods meant to seduce a passive buyer.

Malls exhaust me as easily as they do my husband. They exemplify the impoverished attitude that buying something is the best way to feel better about oneself.
