A fan fell six feet from the front row and landed on his back at Riverfront Stadium while trying to catch a ball thrown to him by the Pittsburgh Pirates’ Andy Van Slyke from the on-deck circle Wednesday. The fan was moved from the field on a stretcher and taken to a hospital. Information on his condition was unavailable.
