FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Motorists’ Advisory

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Bellflower: Eastbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Paramount Boulevard to Woodruff Avenue, plus the Paramount Boulevard on-ramp, Downey Avenue on-ramp, Lakewood Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp, Clark Avenue on-ramp and Bellflower Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday; marker repair.

2. Cerritos: Westbound No. 1 lane from Pioneer Boulevard to Studebaker Road; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; jersey wall repair.

3. Long Beach: Eastbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Cherry Avenue to Lakewood Boulevard, plus the Cherry Avenue on-ramp, Paramount Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp, Downey Avenue off-ramp and on-ramp, and Lakewood Boulevard off-ramp and on-ramp; 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday; marker repair.

4. Long Beach: Westbound No. 4, 5 and 6 lanes from the Long Beach Freeway (710) junction to Santa Fe Avenue, plus the Atlantic Avenue on-ramp, Long Beach Freeway (710) off-ramp and on-ramp, and the Santa Fe Avenue off-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

5. Bell: Northbound No. 4 lane from Gage Avenue to the Slauson Avenue underpass; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; guardrail repair.

6. Bell: Southbound off-ramp and on-ramp at westbound Florence Avenue; 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday; maintenance and landscaping.

7. Commerce/Vernon: Southbound No. 1 lane from Washington Boulevard to Atlantic Boulevard, and northbound No. 1 lane from Slauson Avenue to Atlantic Boulevard; 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday; jersey wall repair.

8. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 1 lane from Humphrey Avenue to the southbound Santa Ana Freeway (5) junction, plus the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) connector to the Santa Ana Freeway (5); 5:30 a.m. to noon Friday; bridge rail repair.

9. Long Beach: Connector road from the northbound Long Beach Freeway (710) to the westbound Artesia Freeway (91); 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

10. Long Beach: Northbound and southbound No. 1 and 2 lanes from Long Beach Boulevard to Alondra Boulevard; 6 a.m. to noon Monday; marker repair.

11. Long Beach: Southbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Alondra Boulevard to the Artesia Freeway (91) junction; the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) connector to the eastbound and westbound Artesia Freeway (91), and the Alondra Boulevard on-ramp; 6 a.m. to noon today; marker repair.

12. Various Cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes between the Humphrey Avenue overcrossing and the Los Angeles River; 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

13. Norwalk: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes between Rosecrans Avenue and Imperial Highway; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; jersey wall repair.

14. Whittier: Northbound on-ramp at Whittier Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; landscaping.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

15. La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Valley View Avenue, plus the Valley View off-ramp; 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; guardrail and fence repair.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (103)

16. Long Beach: Northbound and southbound No. 3 lanes at the Pacific Coast Highway separation; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; bridge repair.

17. Long Beach: Southbound No. 3 lane at the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Drawbridge; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; bridge repair.
