Resident Kills Woman He Finds in His Garage

A woman was shot to death early Saturday morning by a Lake View Terrace resident who heard her and two male intruders rustling around in his garage, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

The woman, who was not identified, was shot in the garage of a home on the 11300 block of Foothill Boulevard after the resident confronted them, Lt. Thomas Jones said. Her two companions fled.

Jones said homicide detectives are investigating the shooting and the district attorney will evaluate the evidence to determine whether the resident fired in self-defense.
