Africa Pilgrimage

Thank you for “An American Pilgrimage to Africa,” April 15. It was probably the best article I’ve ever seen on one of the places I have not yet visited but someday might. It’s rare that someone really captures real life in sub-Saharan Africa not reflective of some extreme, like the hunter on Safari or the expatriate whose phone service is marginal. This one was fresh, new, alive and seemed more an experience than a narrative.
