A 26-year-old Canoga Park man was arrested on suspicion of murder Monday after his girlfriend’s body was found in a closet in their home, Los Angeles police said.

The body of Andrea Young, 25, was found about 1 a.m. at her home on Parthenia Street near De Soto Avenue after police received an anonymous tip, homicide Detective Michael Brandt said. She had apparently been strangled several days earlier.

Young’s boyfriend, Richard Lallis, 26, was arrested, Brandt said.

Lallis and Young had been living together for about two years, police said. “It was a domestic quarrel that ended up in a strangulation death,” Brandt said.
