Swinton Joins Canadian Football League Team

Rich Swinton, a 1986 graduate of Montclair Prep who attended Washington State, has signed a one-year contract with the Calgary Stampeders of the Canadian Football League, his father Oscar Swinton said Wednesday.
Swinton (5-foot-8, 185 pounds) rushed for 1,622 yards at Washington State, including 1,043 as a sophomore. He was not chosen in the National Football League draft.
