Worldwide Summer Deals From Hotel Chains

Sheraton Hotels is sponsoring an “Endless Weekend” program that offers up to a 50% discount off regular rates at about 250 hotels in North America.

The program, which runs through Dec. 29, covers Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Check-out time on Sunday has been rolled back to 6 p.m. In addition, there is a full breakfast for two adults per room on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Up to two children (age 17 or younger) can stay free, using existing bedding, when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Advance reservations are required. Because the program is capacity-controlled, reservations should be made as early as possible.

Ramada Hotels has a worldwide “Summer Sale” program, with room rates discounted up to 60%. The discount rates are available through Sept. 30 in the United States and Europe, and until Sept. 20 in the Caribbean. Up to four guests can stay in a room at the same rate. More than 100 hotels are participating in the program.

Until June 22, Omni Hotels is offering weekend discounts of 30% to 50% off midweek rates at 36 North American properties. Some hotels may offer the discount all week. Rates are per room, covering up to two adults and two children under 17, using the existing bedding. Checkout time is 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Marriott Hotels has a “Two For Breakfast” weekend package through Dec. 30 that ranges from $59 to $139 per night. Up to five guests can stay in the room at most of the participating properties, with no charge for extra bedding. Only two adults get a full breakfast each morning as part of the room rate.

Choice Hotels International, a franchise hotel operator, is marketing a “Weekend Program” with rates ranging from $29 to $59 per night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights at seven chains covering the United States, Canada, Europe and the South Pacific, among other areas. Chains involved are Clarion Hotels, Comforts Inns, Econo-Lodge, Friendship Inns, Quality Inns, Rodeway Inns and Sleep Inns.

Depending on the hotel, up to five guests can stay in a room at the same rate. There would be a cost for extra bedding. Cutoff points for the promotion also vary from hotel to hotel.
