Baghdad Revisited: CBS’ Bob Simon is going back to Baghdad--this time as a journalist, not as one of Saddam Hussein’s “guests.” The Iraqi government granted Simon permission to return today to work on “Bob Simon: After the Storm,” a look at the aftermath of the Persian Gulf War that will air July 4. Simon and four members of his news crew were captured during the Persian Gulf War and spent 40 days being interrogated by the Iraqis. “Since I missed the conflict, I want to return to Baghdad to see what actually happened and to show others the consequences of war,” Simon said.
