MISSION VIEJO : Panel Votes to Allow Car-For-Sale Signs
The Traffic and Transportation Commission has recommended that parked cars bearing “for sale” signs be allowed in front of the owner’s home.
It is illegal to display a “for sale” sign on a vehicle in the city except in a designated business district and with a two-hour limit.
The proposal would change that ordinance to allow the signs in cars parked within 300 feet of the owner’s residence. The change is expected to be considered by the City Council sometime in June, a city staff member said.
The traffic commissioners voted unanimously to recommend the change.
