Mac Williamson, Kristi Kidwell Win Irvine Dualathlon
Mac Williamson of San Diego and Kristi Kidwell of Vista were the top men’s and women’s finishers Sunday at the Irvine X-Isle Dualathlon.
Williamson, 26, took first in the race--one that combined a 5K run, a 20K bike race and a 5K run--in 57 minutes 13 seconds. Kidwell, 30, and a former track standout at Corona del Mar High School, won the women’s division in 1:05:11.
Williamson was followed by Darren Wood of Newport Beach (second in 58:18) and Dan Rock of San Diego (third, 58:22). Sue Davis of Costa Mesa was second in the women’s race in 1:09:14, followed by Helen Knox of Solana Beach (1:09:27).
