TUSTIN : City, School District to Hold Joint Session
The City Council and the Tustin Unified School District will hold a joint meeting today at 7 p.m. to discuss child care, youth programs and other topics.
The meeting will be the first time the two panels have participated in a joint formal meeting, school district Supt. David Andrews said.
“In the past, we’ve just sat down over dinner or something like that,” Andrews said.
School board and council members will discuss meeting more regularly in the future and will also talk about creating an integrated disaster awareness program. In addition, they will discuss working on joint youth programs to combat gang problems in the area and implementing the recent recommendations of a child-care committee.
