A Perfect 10 Role: Gold-medal-gymnast Cathy Rigby, who is nominated for a Tony Award for her role as “Peter Pan” on Broadway, says acting has finally helped her overcome her fear of failure. “Acting allows me the freedom to let go,” Rigby reveals in an interview to be published Sunday in Parade magazine, “to be in the moment, to be spontaneous. . . . I no longer have the fear of losing, of failure. Each night . . . when I’m up in the air, flying from side to side and spinning around, I want to scream out with joy. I feel like I’m invincible. At the Olympics, I needed to please, to live up to expectations. This time . . . I wanted to pass on the magic of this role.”
