‘THIRTY’ WITH A BULLET?: “Miami Vice,” “Wonder Years,” “China Beach” and “Twin Peaks” have all taken a stab at the soundtrack market. But here’s a first: Geffen Records is releasing a soundtrack from “thirtysomething,” even though ABC-TV has just canceled the popular series. Though never a Top 10-rated show, “thirtysomething’s” artfully written sagas of yuppie Angst attracted a loyal following of young, affluent viewers. Those are exactly the same viewers Geffen is hoping will purchase the soundtrack, which is due June 18. It features original music from the show, an extended version of the show’s main title theme and three songs associated with specific episodes, including Ray Charles’ “Come Rain or Come Shine” and Rickie Lee Jones’ “It Must Be Love.” Geffen is also releasing a video of the main title theme, featuring a montage of scenes from the show’s past four seasons.
