Sales of Houses Increase in Simi Valley, Moorpark

Sales of existing single-family houses in Simi Valley and Moorpark in April jumped 56% to 133 from 85 in March, and the sales rose 13% from the 118 sold a year earlier.
The average resale price of a single-family house in the region fell 3% in April, to $232,300 from $238,700 in March, and dropped 12% from $263,600 a year ago.
Meanwhile, 24 condominiums were resold last month, 14% more than in March but 33% fewer than a year ago. The average resale price of a condominium, at $145,000 in April, was virtually unchanged from March but showed a 4% decline from $151,200 a year earlier.
