Foreigners Don’t Have Monopoly on Violence

As a longtime soccer fan, I really take umbrage at Randy Harvey’s comments (May 26) when he wrote: “Think about Main Street, USA. Think about hundreds, thousands, of English, Dutch, German or Italian hooligans shouting obscenities, smashing car and store windows, looting, fighting.”

I suggest that he rewrite this sentence as follows: “Think about Main Street, Westwood, USA. Think about hundreds of American hooligans shouting obscenities, smashing car and store windows, looting, fighting.”
