New Jersey gaming regulators found that Donald J. Trump’s 85-year-old father, Fred, qualifies as a financial source for one of his son’s struggling casinos. Trump is allowed to call on his father--a New York builder--to prop up the Trump Castle Casino Resort by the Bay. The Casino Control Commission approved the senior Trump’s application 4-0 after the state Division of Gaming Enforcement said an investigation turned up nothing to prevent him from qualifying.
