Household Waste to Be Collected

Share

Paint, solvents, herbicides, pesticides, pool chemicals and old batteries are some of the household hazardous waste products that will be collected Saturday by Los Angeles County and the county’s Sanitation Districts.

So-called “roundups” of the materials will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Antelope Valley at Rockwell International, 2825 E. Avenue P, Palmdale and in Santa Clarita at College of the Canyons.

County residents are asked to bring up to five gallons or 50 pounds per vehicle of wastes in their original, labeled containers, stored in sturdy cardboard boxes that can be left at the sites. Ammunition, explosives and radioactive materials will not be accepted.
