The struggle for control of SD-Scicon, one of Britain’s largest software companies, turned into a full-scale battle when General Motors Corp.’s Electronic Data Systems topped an earlier bid by Britain-based Cray Electronics. U.S. computer services concern EDS bid 116.2 million British pounds ($194 million), just above Cray Electronics’ offer made on May 24 and valued at 111 million pounds ($185 million).
