End the Sanctions: Vanessa Redgrave, in Iraq to help raise money for the United Nations Children's Fund, called Thursday for an immediate lifting of sanctions against Iraq, saying children were dying because of them. "It's absolutely cruel to allow a situation to continue in which children are dying," she said. "How can this be considered anything but the most terrible crime against humanity?" Redgrave, her voice trembling and with tears in her eyes, said severe diarrhea, dysentery and malnutrition were killing children.
