Linda LoRe Gets CEO Post at Giorgio

Avon Products Inc. has named Linda LoRe president and chief executive of its Giorgio Beverly Hills unit.

LoRe, 36, who succeeds Michael Gould, had been senior vice president of marketing for Giorgio. Gould resigned recently to become chairman and chief executive of Bloomingdale’s.

LoRe joined Giorgio in 1987 as vice president of sales planning and development and was promoted to senior vice president of marketing in 1989. Her responsibilities included marketing, product development, package design and development, advertising, sales promotion, special events and corporate communications.

Before joining the perfume maker, LoRe worked for J. W. Robinson’s in Los Angeles, holding a variety of positions in merchandising and operations.
