Richard Ruppert has been reelected to a two-year term as shop chairman of United Auto Workers Union Local 645, which represents the hourly workers at General Motors Corp.’s assembly plant in Van Nuys.

The plant, GM’s sole source for the Chevrolet Camaro and Pontiac Firebird sports cars, employs about 3,000 people.
