Kuwait Orders $2 Billion in Aircraft: The country’s flag carrier announced two aircraft orders worth more than $2 billion to rebuild the airline, which was devastated in the Gulf War. Kuwait Airways Chairman Ahmed Al-Mishari said the airline had ordered 15 Airbus Industrie planes and taken options on another nine. It will also soon order three Boeing Co. 747-400 aircraft, he said.
