The Architects Were Overlooked

I am very concerned about the buildings proposed for Ventura Boulevard between Woodman and Ventura Canyon in “Senior Citizen Housing, Stores Proposed.”
We are retired. We built our home nearby 59 years ago.
I would not like to live above noisy, busy, smoggy Ventura Boulevard. A building three stories high plus two stories of subterranean parking would have a definite detrimental effect on this area of single-family homes.
Would these subterranean structures be safe for senior citizens when they are accessible to drifters and street people walking Ventura Boulevard and perhaps using them for shelter? It would take many parking guards for residents and guests to be safe.
