Harry Bernstein’s column is very much to the point. The taxes may be lower here than in some European countries, but the cost of health insurance is entirely too high. Either people are not insured or they are paying a fearful price for coverage that is only marginal.

The U.S. has made a choice between “guns or butter” in favor of guns.

The money spent every year on war or war preparations would go a long way to solve most of our serious social problems.

This would require a total change in outlook by the American people.

We fault the people of other countries for not getting rid of their war-mongering dictators.

We have the power of the ballot to elect leaders who do not have to prove their manhood by wasting our lives and resources on war.
