A broken connection between two power lines is believed to have caused an outage at 12:56 a.m. Saturday that affected 1,600 Southern California Edison customers.

The customers were in an area bounded by Adams and Indianapolis avenues and Bushard and Magnolia streets, Edison spokesman Bob Goodlow said.

An Edison crew restored power within an hour to all but 20 customers, whose electricity was restored by 11:10 a.m., Goodlow said.
