The library district’s summer reading program “Out of This World: Extraterrestrial Reading” will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays throughout the summer.

Participants in the program, which is geared for all ages, become eligible for prizes by reading books and visiting the library weekly. This year’s theme is the adventure of space exploration.

Also, several special programs will be offered at 1:30 p.m. every Wednesday during the summer. The lineup includes visits from magicians, children’s authors and animals from the Wonders of Wildlife Organization. All of the programs are free and will last 45 minutes. Children who bring a library card to the programs will be eligible to win prizes.
