Graham Legacy Passed On: Dancer-choreographer Martha Graham, who died April 1 at the age of 96, left her estate--and her legacy--to Ron Protas, the artistic director of the Martha Graham Dance Company, it was revealed Wednesday. “She did not have any stocks or bonds,” said Peter R. Stern, the lawyer representing the estate. “She did not own any real estate. She didn’t even have a bank account. Her major asset is her legacy, the ballets, her name.” Graham made no specific bequests in her will but asked that Protas distribute some personal effects “in accordance with my wishes, which are known to him.”
