Girl, 11, Killed in Hit-and-Run Car Crash
An 11-year old girl was killed in a hit-and-run car accident at Roscoe Boulevard and Woodman Avenue in Sepulveda, police said Wednesday night.
The girl, whose identity was not released, was pronounced dead at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Panorama City, Officer Bill Mulvihill said.
The accident occurred about 7:20 p.m. when a car traveling south on Woodman collided with the car the girl was riding in, which was turning left from a northbound lane of Woodman onto Roscoe Boulevard.
The male driver of the southbound car, described by witnesses as a 1975 Chevy Blazer, fled the scene on foot, police said.
