Hasta La Vista, Governorship?: Arnold Schwarzenegger wants to terminate any notion that he’s bucking for political office. In an interview to promote the release of “Terminator 2: Judgment Day,” the actor said that he has no personal political ambitions despite his muscular support for President Bush’s physical fitness programs. “Why would I run for office?” Schwarzenegger asked. “The most important thing for me right now is to make America healthy.” The actor’s remarks were taped for broadcast July 8 on “CBS This Morning.” His comments undermine the theory, published in the trade paper Variety, that he would seek the California governorship in 1994.
