From Staff and Wire Reports

Highland Meadows, a private course in Sylvania, Ohio, where the LPGA’s Jamie Farr Classic is played, bars women as stock-holding, voting members, according to the Toledo Blade.

The newspaper also reported that women are not allowed to sit on the club’s board of directors or attend annual meetings.

The club is one of two courses on the 1991 LPGA tour with such exclusionary practices. The LPGA said that after this year, it will not conduct tournaments at courses that discriminate against women and minority groups.
