Former Mayor Will Head Task Force on Redistricting

Former Pasadena Mayor William Bogaard was appointed last week by the City Council to head the 15-member redistricting task force.

The group will hold hearings and recommend new boundaries for the city’s seven council districts to comply with 1990 Census figures.

Other task force members include city Affirmative Action Commissioner Ann Marie Hickambottom, former Rose Bowl Aquatic Center board member Christina Cook, educator Edward Maya, developer Marvin Greer, city Planning Commissioner James King, and attorneys Christopher Sutton and Edward Garlock.

The group also includes writer Edward Matys, political activist Fred Register, former Parks and Recreation Commissioner Paul Secord, elementary school Principal Susan Arcaris, and community activists Elias Galvan, Rosemary Schroeder and Morris Fisher.
